  You Can Make: Christmas Tree Card
 

What You Need:

A4 coloured
card (brightly coloured)

PVA glue

Scissors

Pencil

Ruler

Optional:

Christmas
stickers

Glitter

Sequins

Beads

Chenille stems

Pom poms

Colouring
pencils,
crayons or
paint

Christmas Tree Card
     
     
    How To Make
         
   

To make the card:

1. Choose a brightly coloured piece of A4 card.

2. Fold card in half.

3. Open out card.

4. Fold front half, as shown.

5. Place triangle template 1 along fold, as shown.

6. Draw around template.

7. Cut out triangle shape, through folded card.

8. You should now have a triangular hole in the front half of your card.

 
   
   

To make the tree:

1. Fold a piece of green A4 card in half.

2. Place triangle template 2, as shown.

3. Draw two triangle shapes along the fold.

4. Cut out the two shapes through the folded card.

5. Choose a different colour piece of card.

6. Place tree pot template on card.

7. Draw around tree pot template.

8. Cut out tree pot.

 

9. Close the card and place first tree shape in hole and glue using PVA glue.

10. Glue second (2nd) tree shape in place, in line with fold of first shape using PVA glue.

11. Open card and stick tree pot below tree using PVA glue.

12. Draw in and colour tree trunk.

13. Decorate the tree. You can make your own design for this and choose the materials you wish to use.

   
   

To make the Christmas presents using the templates provided:

1. Cut out parcel templates.

2. Colour parcels with paint, colouring pencils or crayons.

3. Stick parcels to front of card using PVA glue, as shown below. Make sure two hang over the fold. Try to make the middle parcels look as if they are stacked on top of each other.

4. Cut out two more parcels, colour them and stick them below the tree.

    To make the Christmas presents using coloured card:

1. Choose different coloured cards.

2. Use Parcel Templates to cut out parcels from card.

3. Cut out ribbons from card.

4. Glue ribbons to parcels using PVA glue. Try to make the parcels look attractive.

5. Cut out and make two more parcels. Stick them below the tree.
