General Store Manager

This is a great role with the opportunity to develop and lead a team to deliver great customer service. You will be responsible for maximising the profitability of the store through the management of budgets and minimising losses whilst ensuring a high level of stock availability. You will oversee the efficient operation of the store in line with our policies, procedures and best practice.

You will demonstrate great leadership and communication skills with a proven track record in a large retail operation.

You must be flexible as this position requires early morning starts and late night finishes as well as working alternate weekends.

Deputy Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a successful manager who is able to demonstrate commercial awareness and who has previously worked in a retail environment. As Deputy, you will also support the successful delivery of company initiatives, efficient operation of the store in line with our policies, procedures and best practice. With great communication, problem solving and influencing skills as you will have responsibility for planning, recruiting, training and developing the team.

Other duties will include, opening and closing the store, cashing up, administration and deputising in the absence of the General Store Manager.

E-Commerce Content Editor

As an E-Commerce Content Editor your role is to optimise the content of the HobbyCraft Online Shop with the aim of maximising visitor conversion, and to increase HobbyCraft’s high standard of customer experience.

We are looking for a candidate who is ideally educated to degree level, with a minimum of 18 months experience in writing search engine optimised web copy in an E-Commerce environment; exceptional written and verbal English and numeracy skills are essential.

You’ll have experience of using and interpreting web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, ftp site procedure. A knowledge of CMS systems, HTML and Photobox would be a distinct advantage.

You’ll be a self motivated individual with a very creative mindset and passion for online editing and deploying best practice in web content standards; highly organised with an extreme attention to detail whilst having the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. A positive and energetic approach is essential in order to play an important part in this growing area of our business.

Senior Assistant – Sales Floor

To assist with the efficient operation of the store, assisting the Management team in taking responsibility for the shop floor operational standards across the entire sales area, ensuring all fixtures comply with the latest Company planograms and promotional listings. You will have a methodical and organised approach to ensure that all products on sale are correctly displayed and accurately priced, labelled, tagged and rotated where required. You will have proven customer service and team work experience and have a positive attitude to change.
