It's Ok
I had to buy the strong grip mat because I was cutting 300 GSM card stock and the light grip and standard grip were not sticky enough. They advertise the ones online as being improved but the ones in store don't have this same sticker so I am not sure if I have a newer one or an older one
The mat is sticky, but it doesn't feel more sticky than a standard grip mat, Again with all Cricut mats they just don't last long enough for my liking I bought two mats at the same time so I could get my cuts done but one of them already feels like it's loosing it stick. It did its job holding the thicker Card Stock in place but because they all lose their stick so quickly, I can only rate it as ok.

Holds metal well
The strong grip mat holds heavier items like metal well, but when cutting chipboard, the dust sticks to the mat, which means it isn't sticky at all anymore. If cutting dusty materials or ones that are likely to leave deposits on the mat, I'd use an old mat that has already lost its stickiness and hold the material down with masking tape.

Not as great as I’d hoped
I buy the Cricut iron-on vinyl for projects and find that the shiny transfer side doesn’t hold on to my mats. I bought the strong grip mat to try to avoid these problems but it made no difference. The vinyl didn’t hold well on the mat at all and started curling up at the edges even on the very first use.
I had to tape the edges down in order to use it. Other materials adhered really well, but you’d expect a cricut product to work with other cricut brand materials.

Very strong grip
We purchased this because there was not a green medium/standard grip mat available in stock in our nearest store at the time. Usually have a light grip for our vinyl cutting needs, but that wasn’t quite doing the job anymore after months of use. This one is fantastic if you need a really strong grip — does what it says on the tin! But personally I found it a bit too sticky when I am just using standard weight vinyl.

Very good grip
This should be named ‘very strong grip’ mat. Says it’s for use on thicker or heavier materials so tried to use it on heavy card stock but couldn’t get it all off again. Brilliant grip but not suited for the card I used (but that wasn’t the best quality card tbh!).
Easy enough to clean with the Cricut scraper.
Haven’t used it again yet but will be soon.

Love, hate relationship
I absolutely love everything about cricut, the software, the preset designs, the ease of use however if there was one thing I would change it would be the use of mats! Too sticky to start with and then it doesn't take long for them to lose that stick and become unusable.
Still a great product while it lasts!

Sticky-er than Scan-n-Cut 'Fabric' Mat.
Experimented by setting the Cricut 12x12 mat in to a Scan-n-cut mat to use for fabric cutting. Well...it might even be too sticky for light fabric so I might try a less powerful stick but....I'm right pleased with the results and saved cost.
