Wonderful for Christmas craft
The metallic embroidery threads look great if you know how to use them. I embroidered onto jute but found that they kept fraying and were difficult to thread a needle with. The solution I came up with was to lubricate the length of the thread with Decopatch varnish as this is what I had on hand. This worked a treat, however, it does stiffen the thread a little. Dip your finger into the liquid and run it along the thread and allow to dry. Dries clear. I am pleased with the effect on my project.

Thread frayed very easily
Bought the thread to help make Christmas cards, as they were metallic I thought they’d be very fitting, however the thread frayed so much it was very difficult to work with and ultimately returned the other colours I had purchased

Festive sheen
I bought this thread to make a sewing related Christmas decoration for our tree to remember my Mum who taught me to sew. It's perfect thread as it has a beautiful sheen that will look very festive on my tree.

Loved the finished effect.
Unfortunately the metallic element in the thread kept separating and made it difficult to pull through my work. But with lots of patience I did finish the project and the recipient is delighted.
