DMC Mouliné Light Effects Embroidery Thread offers a beautiful, shimmering finish for every needlework project. The high quality stranded cotton thread is perfect for stitching and embroidery on all types of fabric.

This thread is comprised of six easily separated strands, allowing you to adjust the thickness of your stitching by the number of strands you used. It is made from 100% polyester and has glistening strands that will add reflective qualities to any needlework or craft project.

Light Effects use the same colour numbering system as DMC Floss, so this thread can be a great alternative to the normal satin strand, if you require a sparkling finish. With 36 colours available, these threads are a must have for any type of embroidery work.

It’s a peacock, and the tail feathers demand a bit more than flat colour to make it pop. This thread certainly does the job. I’m using it to enhance stranded cotton by mixing the strands, I am also using it by itself to add detail to stranded cotton. It looks fabulous doubled up and used to couch outlines. It’s easy to work with, from pulling from the skein and splitting strands to actual stitching.
