Easy once you know how.....
I had really difficulty using this thread .... made me feel like a real muppet but a quick google taught me what I needed to know.
This doesn't work in the same way as 'normal' thread I found it difficult to work with, the thread kept splitting in two and getting caught in my needle eye.
However by using a slightly bigger eye'd needle and anchoring the thread to the eye using a slip type knot made a world of difference!
Much easier to use and looks really great and glittery!!

Beautiful shiny colours
Beautiful colours. A white thread wrapped with 2 strands of metallic colour. I knew it would be tricky to work with compared to stranded cotton thread, as i have done goldwork courses before, but a beginner should know this thread is a little different. Better for couching and laid work as it easily unravels.

Shiny but use carefully
This has a lovely sparkle to it. Looks a bit like chain mail when used in cross-stitch. However only use short lengths (30cm or less) as it tends to split apart the more you sew with it, and because of the metallic threads it sticks out more than normal silks.

The perfect colour
This was the perfect colour that I couldn't find anywhere else in my area. I needed this threat for a specific project and managed to find it straight away in my local branch.

Good Quality
Good value for money, as well as being good quailty. Has Lovely metallic shine that looked beautiful incorporated into my work. I would definitely buy again.

Looks good but hard to work with
I love how this looks when it’s used but it’s really hard to work with, it just comes apart which is annoying but when it does work the result is great

This thread can be difficult to use as it keeps fraying a part when trying to thread it through the needle.
