Gold, gold everywhere, yum!
It was the first time I had ever tried to gilld anything, I am up-cycling an old bureau and wanted it to look as if it had a vein of gold running through it. I was amazed at how easy it was to use. I achieved my desired effect in a very short time. I also used what seems to be a self replenishing pot of gold flakes as I didn't want it to look too flat. 1 just love the ease of working with his gold foil, yes its very messy as tiny bits of gilt that are not stuck to the building paste RUB off when you are putting a sheet on, or burnishing with a soft cloth, but the results are well worth it.
It was the first time I had used this product, but it most certainly won't be the last; I feel an addiction coming on, gold, gold everywhere, yum!

Not as good as gold leaf.
It’s not as good as real gold leaf but it’s not a bad product. I am doing some illuminated manuscript work and not sure if it’s the gesso I’m using or the quality of the gold leaf but it’s not having as nice and smooth effect as I was hoping. I suspect gold leaf will be more effective because of the quality but this is okay for practising.

Gold leaf sheets
Very impressed with the quality and price of these gold leaf sheets. I did not use size, instead I diluted pva wood glue and applied this to the picture frame I was gilding. As the sheets have individual backing sheets application is straightforward
I would definitely recommend this product, excellent value for money.

Good options on metal finishes
Have used this product for some time always had good results. Not that happy with the changes made to the liquid gilding paste, it’s now in a tube and thick, it was much better before in a glass jar when you had more accuracy applying with a small brush when doing fine details.

Gold standard!
Great gilding product which I used to enhance my watercolour painting by adding an interesting texture and colour. Packaged carefully with each gold sheet placed between tissue paper sheets, so it was easily accessible. A competitive price too!

Found a new love!
There was lots in this pack and I have had soooo much fun using the gold leaf on my daughters old chest of drawers. Made a basic ikea staple look far prettier. Watch out I ll be using hold leaf everywhere haha!

First time user
Bought for use with children making illuminated lettering. They had fun using it but as so thin was quite difficult for them to use and floated everyehere. If as an adult I were thinking of using this I would watch lots of how to videos as is not easy to work with. Item is fine but you do require some prior knowledge to use it successfully.
