Hobby craft graphite pencil
I am a beginner portrait sketcher,not yet ready to invest in a more expensive pencil set.
So, I wanted a cheap graphite sketching set that went as dark as an 8b and found these met my requirements.The pencils were relatively mess free and you could easily get different shades with each pencil. The point of the pencil is still quite large and not as refined as some more expensive sets.They can easily snap in half so you have to be careful taking them out of the pack. Overall the quality of the pencil is reflected in the price, perfectly adequate for a beginner.

Good product
The product is good quality. I am happy that I've brought these. They're cheap but pigmented. They're Hobbycrafts own brand. I reconmend this product as they smudge well and can reach many different shades.

Graphite sticks prove very handy
I do a lot of drawing alongside a little teaching and have seen how useful these graphite sticks are for covering large areas without leaving gaps as you sometimes get when covering large areas of shading.

Graphite pencils sharpened with a blade
This is the first time I have used Graphite pencils, I guess they are ok but a bit scary to use because they have no wood encapsulating them. Also, I watched videos and advice for sharpening them and discovered that the best way to sharpen them is by 'whittling' with a sharp blade instead of a pencil sharpener.

This product has great features
Love these pencils because the whole pencil is lead! No wood, no snapping lead in the middle, forever sharpening a pencil for it to snap off as soon as it touches the paper. As there is no wood they are easy to shade too, love love.
