A perfect match!!
I decided to hem the the unfinished edges on a couple of pairs of old denim dungaree shorts to give them a longer lifespan.
A visit to Hobbycraft with the aforementioned shorts and I selected this Gutermann Mustard Upholstery Extra Strong Thread.
It took quite a bit of fiddling with the settings on our elderly sewing machine but we eventually got this quite thick thread to stitch well. The bottom bobbin tension needed adjusting due to the extra thickness.
The effort was worth it, the thread is an almost exact match in colour and thickness to the thread used in the original garment and my finished hems look almost factory sewn.
In summary a thick thread, very strong and this colour matched the thread on my Monkee Denim Dungarees exactly.

This thread was perfect
I needed a thick thread to match the thread on my jeans but it also had to be light enough to sew with. This was perfect. Strong but light and a perfect colour
