Great value / quality for the price
This fits perfectly on my desk and is very lightweight but not at the cost of quality, its sturdy enough to hold a chipboard 'canvas' larger than A2.
Would highly recommend if you need something to work on, on a desk...
..The only possible negative, is it doesn't have a large tray to hold tools.. But here i am looking for something negative to keep this review balanced, because i don't even need that personally, - using it on a desk.
For under a tenner (in the sale), it's a great piece of fold-up kit that's well worth the price that far exceeded my quality expectations.

Unexpectedly the best purchase ever!
I bought the easel as I am currently painting a commission, and it was getting awkward leaning the painting up against the kitchen chair. I am an art student but have always thought ‘it will be okay’ to simply lean what I’m painting on a chair, but having the easel has literally changed my life and my experience painting. It is very steady and solid and the painting is held very securely, and doesn’t slip when I lean on it to paint. Having changed the process of something I’m currently doing every day, I’m extremely happy to have purchased this and it will be so positively impactful in the long run.

Smart little easel
I needed a little easel to display an A4 sized print on a table top at an exhibition. This was just the job. Simple, attractive, unobtrusive, light - but seems strong enough. I'd get another if needed. I like that it's made of wood, neatly machined.

Inexpensive and effective
Bought one of these mostly as a 'if I like using it I can get a more expensive one' experiment but I don't see myself needing to upgrade for ages. It's great for small to medium canvases, easy to adjust, and folds down compactly for storage.
My only complaint would be that the extending bit is prone to getting stuck at minimum extension. But a bit of wax fixed it for me.

Good tabletop easel
I'm no expert, but this is a good sized easel for use on a desk (or table). The legs sometimes need adjusting as they can move but I'm not sure of that's a user error - most likely! - or something that needs fixing on the easel. Pretty sure it's me. Regardless, it's a good size, lightweight and portable and easy to use. I recommend it, at least for the amateur painter!

Just started an art class and I often admired your products regarding various hobbies. The easel recently purchased is excellent size, robust and can be transported to any other room. I have recommended Hobbycraft to many of my friends and my Art class.
