Decorated Hats

What You Need:

Hat*

Artificial
flowers

Glue gun &
glue sticks

Florists tape

Ribbon

Feathers

Beads

Sequins

1. Use an undecorated hat or detach any existing detail.

2. Select two complimentary types of artificial flowers. Using three of one type and two of the other, make one set slightly longer than the other set and cut to length so that the stems do not overlap the brim of the hat. (The tips of your flowers may overlap the brim.)

3. Using a glue gun (clear glue) fix them together and bind to finish off with green florist tape.

4. Sew securely through the hat into position, angled across the brim, flower heads up.

5. Cover the stem by attaching feathers, ribbon or other flowers by using the glue gun.

6. Finish off by decorating with sequins, or sewing beads onto the brim.

7. Enjoy wearing your hat!

Tip: You can give a new life to an old hat or buy a plain hat to decorate.
