1. To prepare the plastic planta:
Spray with primer and allow to dry. Apply one or two coats of green spray paint. Follow manufacturer's guidelines.
2. To make the topiary tree:
Cut the large green leaves off the sunflower bush (or similar) and, working downwards from the top of the sphere, create a 'cone' effect of green leaves. Use floral glue and pins (you can create your own 'U' pins from floral wire) to secure the leaves in place. Leave to dry.
Using the flower heads from the Sunflower Bush (or similar), add a little floral glue and push them into place until the whole sphere is covered.
Cut six 24" (approx.) lengths of willow stems. Bind together using floral wire. Add floral glue and push one end into the decorated sphere and the other into the plastic planta.
3. Spread moss around the base of the tree. To finish, add a bow to conceal the wire binding the willow and decorate the pot with ribbon.
Please note: Always use floral glue with dry foam
