1. Give the front and sides of each of the canvases an undercoat of watered down white acrylic paint. Leave to dry.
2. Place the canvases on a flat surface in a portrait position, butting them up against each other, to make one large painting area.
3. Take a long strip of masking tape and stretch it across the canvases diagonally, taping them together and creating the first part of the design.
4. Repeat step 3, twice more, to complete the overall design.
5. Cut through the tape holding the canvases together, and then taking a small piece of tape, stick it onto the line you have already created and continue the tape down the edge of each of the canvases. Ensure that the tape is thoroughly stuck down.
6. Apply the first acrylic colour across the three canvases, ensuring that the colour is returned on the sides of the canvases. Use the picture as a guide.
7. Repeat step 6, with the three other colours. Use the picture as a guide. Allow to dry.
8. Gently peel off the masking tape to reveal the completed design.
