Easter Bunny Gift Box & Card

  How To Make

GIFT BOX:

1. Remove the lid from the box and draw around the lid onto the lime foam. Cut out and glue the foam to the top of the lid.

2. Measure the depth of the rim of the lid then cut out a strip of orange foam to fit all around the edge of the lid. (You may need to join strips together if it is a large lid). Glue the foam to the rim.

3. Replace the lid and measure the distance from the bottom of the box to the rim of the lid. Cut a strip of lime foam to fit around the bottom half of the box and glue into place. (If you apply foam to the whole of the box, you will not be able to replace the lid as the foam is too thick.)

4. Cut a circle out of black foam and glue to the centre of the lid for the rabbit hole.

5. Cut a smaller circle out of white foam. Use either decorative edged scissors or plain scissors to create the jagged edge. Glue into the centre of the black circle.

6. To make the rabbit face cut two small circles of grey foam and glue them side by side to the middle of a white pom pom to form cheeks.

7. Glue on a 3mm red pom pom just above the grey circles for the nose.

8. Add the wobbly eyes.

9. Cut a small rectangle of white foam for teeth then cut one end to a point so that it fits in between the cheeks. Cut shapes out of the white and pink foam for ears and glue into place

10. Cut two lengths of white chenille stem for the arms and glue a pink foam paw onto the end of each.

11. Glue the arms into place.

12. Cut out enough carrots shapes from orange foam to position evenly around the bottom half of the box and one for the rabbit. Glue into place.

13. Do the same for the flowers adding a sequin to the centre of each to finish. Use a black marker pen to draw details on the teeth and whiskers and carrots.

CARD:

1. Open up the yellow aperture card and cut off one of the left side panels.

2. Trim one edge of the card so it forms a square when folded in half.

3. Make up the rabbit face as for the box gluing the pom pom to one side of the jagged white foam.

4. Draw around the aperture of the card onto lime foam. Cut 1cm either side of the drawn line to create a ring.

5. Glue the rabbit behind the aperture in the lower part of the circle.

6. Glue the lime ring behind the aperture cutting away the section that overlaps the rabbit body so that the card will close properly.
