Daisy Card & Decorative Wrapping

  How To Make

1. To make a daisy rubber stamp, take your daisy Sizzix die which has one large and one medium sized daisy and cut two medium daisies out of fab foam (any colour!)

2. Take one of the daisies and carefully cut out the centre using the perforations provided. Attach the round centre section and the complete daisy to the back of a couple of old rubber stamps, woodblocks, jar lids etc. Using double sided tape, you are now ready to stamp.

For the gift wrap:

3. Take a large piece of plain green paper (depending on size of gift). To stamp your daisy image you will need yellow and white acrylic paint. Pour a quantity of white paint onto a smooth flat surface and roll out flat. Dip your full daisy stamp into the paint and stamp at random onto your green paper (it may be a good idea to lay down some newspaper around the edges, to protect your work surface). When dry, repeat the process using the round centre stamp and yellow paint, try to stamp in the middle of your daisy, but it doesn't matter if you're a few millimetres out! (Remember-while you are stamping your gift wrap to stamp a daisy onto a separate piece of green paper to use on the card later).

For the gift tag:

4. Take a piece of white card and a piece of yellow card and cut two large daisy shapes. Cut the centre out of the yellow daisy, along the perforations, and stick it to the centre of your white daisy. Use an ordinary hole punch to punch through the card in one of the 'petals'. Wrap your gift using your daisy paper, then tie with gold string or ribbon. Before tying your bow, thread one end through the holes in the gift tag.

For the card:

6. Take an A5 piece of yellow card and fold across the width to give you a long, thin card blank. Use a piece of gold string/ribbon (approx 25cm long) and run it down the centre of the front of your card blank. Fold the ends of the string around the edges and secure with tape.

7. Use a daisy paddlepunch or craft punch to cut six white daisies. Next use an office hole punch to cut circles out of different coloured card and attach each circle to the centre of each daisy using PVA glue.

8. Use glue dots to attach the six daisies down the length of the gold string. Take the stamped daisy which you set aside earlier and carefully tear around it forming a rough square. Finally attach onto the front of your card using sticky fixers (about 2.5cm from the top).
