Gone Fishing Fathers Day Card

  How To Make

1. Cut a piece of silver card slightly larger than the aperture in your card and decorate with different colours of adhesive ribbon.

2. Stick the finished decorated piece of card on the reverse of the aperture using double sided tape. Fold the right hand panel of the aperture card behind the central panel and secure in place using double sided tape.

3. Cut a piece of handmade paper approximately 4.5cm wide and the same height as your card blank. Feather one of the edges by dipping a small paintbrush in water and running it down one edge. Then gently pull small pieces away from the wet edge of the paper. Leave to dry.

4. Open your card out flat, with the right side facing you and position the handmade paper over the fold of the card, secure in place using double sided tape. Glue three beads towards the bottom eged of the handmade paper on the front of the card. Use the picture as a guide.

5. To make the fishing rod, cut one end off a cocktail stick and apply some tacky glue to the remaining pointed end. Then wrap a piece of thread onto the glue and hold until stuck.

6. Position the fishing rod on the front of your card, using the picture as a guide and glue in place using tacky glue. Allow to dry.

7. To finish glue a fish embellishment on the end of the line using tacky glue. Use the picture as a guide.
