Stranded Jewellery Set

  How To Make

Necklace

Outer Strand

  1. Attach small clusters of assorted beads to a jump ring. Repeat this twelve times.

  2. Cut a 65 cm length of beading thread and thread on the pendant so it hangs in the centre.

  3. Thread four small faceted beads onto both strands, resting above the pendant. Separate the two threads and working from the centre outwards, add three sets of bead clusters to each side as shown. Set to one side.

Middle Strand

Cut a 55 cm length of beading thread and thread a bead cluster to the centre. Working from the centre outwards, add beads and two bead clusters to each side as shown. Set to one side.

Inner Strand

Cut a 45 cm length of beading thread and thread a bead cluster to the centre. Working from the centre outwards add beads to each side. Set to one side.

To complete the necklace:

  1. Thread a crimp bead on each end of the three strands. Thread the strands, in turn, through a hole on the spacer, bringing the thread back through the crimp, forming a loop around the spacer. Pull the thread tight and slide the crimp up against the spacer and flatten using flat nose pliers. Trim the thread.

  2. Once all three strands are attached, tie a 20 cm length of beading thread to the other end of each spacer using a crimp bead. Thread beads onto each side.

  3. Attach a clasp using a crimp bead in the same way as attaching to the spacer.

Bracelet

Apply the same method as the necklace, using 30 cm lengths of beading thread.

Earrings

  1. Attach a jump ring to a leaf bead. Attach the bead to one end of a 12 cm length of beading thread using a crimp bead.  Thread beads as shown, ending with a crimp bead.

  2. Place the thread through the loop of the earring, bringing it back through the crimp bead, forming a loop around the earring.

  3. Slide the crimp against the earring and flatten using flat nose pliers. Trim the thread.
