Soft, cuddly and washes well
I have always crocheted a blanket for all of the children in our family...and our dogs! This wool was perfectly soft and machine washable to crochet a 'baby' blanket for our new Tibetan Terrier puppy, Zhuni. At 11 weeks old, she sleeps on it every night. The dye colouring is subtle (and matches my living room!) and I am sure this blanket will be with my new dog for her whole life.

Nice quality if wool with blended colours
I bought this wool on holiday to crochet a pattern meant for cotton. I wasn't sure about the colour combo to begin with but oh boy, this wool is STUNNING when worked up a few inches. The colours work really well together. It forms vague stripes but thanks to the flecks through it they are not defined so you end up with a soft flow of colours. Delighted with it.

Bought 5 balls of this wool in lavender shades MT53 4 balls OK but 5th ball !!!!! Went to use it from the centre of the ball Inside the centre there were lots of pieces of wool as if someone had used the ball and put all the pieces inside the ball However I wanted to complete the garment as it was a gift so knitted from the outside of the ball. After knitting approx 1/2 a sleeve I came across more of these pieces of wool approx 9 inches in length.!!! I only hope that I don't run out of wool before finishing this garment

Lovely product
A lovely yarn, very rustic and tweedie feeling. Knits beautifully and the pattern colour blending is lovely. Knits to tension and cable patterns have good definition. Still knitting so I can't comment on washability but don't anticipate any problems. Always pleased with James C Brett yarns.

This DK wool knits up giving different shades of colour.
Had been looking for James C Brett Marble acrylic machine washable wool in green at a good price and was pleased to see that my local Hobbycraft had it in stock. I have a loyalty card and love visiting my store. Have purchased online as well for sewing supplies.

excellent yarn
Got several on the 3 for 2 deal. It's thicker than the average double knitting yarn so it doesn't knit as far as some other wool. But the superb colour combination makes it very worthwhile and enyoyable to knit with. I mix it in wide stripes with other colours to show it off better. It's not as smooth as some other yarn - but this makes it feel warmer than others and it feels much better quality. Love the stuff.
