Great calligraphy set
I taught my first calligraphy class last week and went online to order some pens. Ideally I wanted a few of the separate pen holders and nibs but these were very difficult to find and ones I did discover were used (not ideal as nibs take on angle of their user) and expensive! In the end I chose some markers and this set - this was the perfect solution as pens wrote very smoothly and nibs were a good thickness for the scale of script lettering I had in mind. The participants - all novices - found them easy to use and all had great finished results. It's given me a newfound interest in doing some more writing myself, I learned to use nib and ink bottles which are lovely but tend to give an uneven finish and are quite tricky to use - these pens were easy to use and gave a smooth perfect finish!

Great starter kit
This kit comes with everything you need to get started in calligraphy. Four pens, four nibs and a bunch of inks in different colour, they're all laid out in a lovely tin case. There's a guide book and a pad of practice paper which is good quality.
My only concern was that the larger nibs are difficult to get a decent ink flow through them. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong though. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking to get into calligraphy, the book gave a number of projects and how to instructions also.

Great beginners set!
This was brought as an introduction to Calligraphy for myself. The product was in a handy box, and contained everything for a beginner, including a variety of coloured inks. The instruction book was helpful and easy to follow. Very pleased with product. I marked as good as opposed to excellent as I would have preferred not to have coloured plastic holders for the spares, but that is just my preference.

Simple and a quality product
Lost my own fountain pen which I’d had for years. It was ok but sometimes snagged on the paper so I was looking for a new one. Came across one set on hobby craft that was reasonably priced with 4 pens and loads of cartridges. It also had some guides on making the best use of it. Looked on line if they were in stock in the Guiseley shop and they were so went and picked one up. Tried it and it’s made in the UK which is good. Writing my Xmas cards with the set now and it’s very good and looks professional

Easy to handle, nice to write with.
I was an Art student at Liverpool College of Art, and learned calligraphy writing there, briefly. This set is really good to use, and the related information, is really well written. I definately recommend this product from 'hobbycraft'

A bit disappointed
