Product description

Sirdar Crofter DK is a beautifully soft double knitting yarn that has an incredible spray pattern. Crofter Dk comes in a range of 8 subtle Scottish heather shades, with all the pinks, lilacs and gentle greens found in the Scottish Hills and Glens. The yarn is great for creating cabled waistcoats, tank tops and much more.

These balls are made from 60 percent Acrylic, 25 percent Cotton and 15 percent Wool, which makes them extremely soft to touch. The yarn can be machine washed in water up to 40 Degrees Celsius and will stay soft wash after wash. All of the other colours can be found in the Hobbycraft range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic yarn The yarn is lovely and soft due to it cotton content. It has a great texture and colour change. It crocheted up really nicely without splitting. I will definitely buy more in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exciting results with this yarn. I love it! I have used this particular yarn on two occasions now, both for baby blankets as it is so soft. The colours are fantastic, it really is a kaleidoscope effect from 1 ball of wool. Up to now I have used the Seagrass shade, so I imagine other shades would just as good. Can't wait for another project and try other shades!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour combination Excellent value for a soft knit which looks much more expensive when made up. The feel and texture is perfect, use it for many projects, it's ideal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this wool. This is the second lot of wool that I have bought, I like the way it knits. It is so easy to knit with and you don't have to keep changing colour. Will be buying it again at some point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Crofter Yarn Have used this yarn a few times before. Always interesting to knit with as the colour change is fascinating. Yarn tends to separate slightly, but have not found this a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sirdar Crofter Seagrass Delighted with this wool from Sirdar. The pattern I am using is for a Kimono and the colours have worked out very well, it looks just like I have used several different balls and shades to a complicated pattern, which of course I have not. I am so pleased with the effect I have purchased some more of the same Crofter in different shades. I can thoroughly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good quality yarn The clever dye of the wool creates a abstract style fair isle pattern. I am knitting a sleeveless pullover for my adult son. The back is nearly completed and the effect is very attractive.
