Very adaptable product
I bought this item for use with modelling paste to make a beach/paddleboard themed cake. Although designed for use with candy melts and chocolate, I mixed up 2 colours of modelling paste, pushed into the moulds and immediately removed to reveal the most realistic shells I've ever seen. It gave my cake the wow factor for sure and gas become a real essential in my cake tool kit.

It does what it is supposed to do, but it's not really good value for money
This is a product that somebody should buy only if they want to tip their toe in chocolate making and are unsure if they try the second time. Or if they intend to use it only a couple of times.
Otherwise I would definitely recommend investing in a sturdier version, even if more expensive.
The mold did its job. If the chocolate is properly tempered it's released as it should. However, the second time I used the mold, it started to break on the edges. I wish I could buy proper, policarbonate moulds from Hobbycraft.

Not Just for Chocolate!
Makes ideal moulds to use with plaster of Paris and then paint in a myriad of colours and then glaze with a marine varnish. If you like, you can imbed colourful cord for hanging once they turn out from the moulds. You can also make mobiles or just pretty decorations added to bowls etc

Perfect shells
I bought this this for an under-the-sea themed birthday cake. I used normal cooking chocolate for the shells and I also pressed in some fondant for the starfish. All the shapes came out of the moulds easily and I was really pleased with the detail on all of them.

Versatile product , value for money
Used this product not for chocolate moulding but for fondant , turned out brilliantly. Good sturdy product which I will get loads of use from. Well worth the money definitely recommend to purchase.

would not come out easily
this mould was good find. but the icing put in the mould would not come off easily. had to keep tapping on the table for it to fall off and then it broke. It broke less than 24 hrs i bought it.

not good for icing !
used this with ready to roll icing to decorate a cake - found it difficult to remove the items once set - guess it works better with chocolate
