Should be offset
I’m disappointed as I bought this in a hurry to some buttercream on a birthday cake I’m being new to this kind of baking. I didn’t realise that you should ideally have an offset one. Now looking back an offset shape seems a lot easier to use for smoothing cake tops and I don’t understand why this one is flat. It worked in that it was easier than a knife but just a bit annoyed I bought this thinking it was right and would be a long term keeper.

Exquisite buttercream shaper!
I used this for modelling a Viking themed buttercream sponge cake. It was a breeze to use and worked tremendously well for me. A superb investment for the aspiring baker :)
