Nicely packaged. contains enough materials to make both a hand and foot impression. Also sufficient materials to make plaster casts of both. Reasonably straightforward instructions.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from An infinite imprint Often we forget how fast our kids grow, 5 years pass like 5 seconds. This is an easy, fun and efficient way to trap your child's bubbly laughter and sticky fingers. A memory that will last forever. I was really impressed myself by how quick and simple it was to complete. Definitely a good reccomendation!!

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea but in practice not so good When I purchased this casting set I was so excited to start. Having used air dry clay before and it cracking, I thought what a great idea to do the impressions and then fill to get the cast! The instructions are odd, probably because they are translated. I followed the instructions and divided the impression mixture by 2 (I was doing 1 hand and 1 foot). I mixed it and popped it in the mould tray. The instructions say, “without delay” make your impression. I did so and it was a sloppy mess covering my infants foot in moulding material! I realised I had to wait for it to get to the right consistency. I waited, 1 minute, 2 (by now the mixture was like blancmange) 3.5 (still too soft) then suddenly it went rock solid and I couldn’t even make an impression with my own finger!! I tried again with the remaining impression material and again the consistency was never quite right. Either too soft or too hard. I failed twice to get any impression resembling a foot or hand print. Very disappointed in this product. I will be seeking a refund from Hobbycraft.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as easy as it looks Think cause the instructions are a translation and written out like a paragraph, timelines of how long we had to do each thing wasn't clear so it was a bit nerve wracking whether we were doing it right or not. Take your time n do it on a day you don't need to rush n do anything else.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it I love this product the only problem is I made a mistake with the mould powder and ended up throwing out half the mixture. Maybe you should sell the mould making powder separately so if mistakes are made you can buy more. But other than that I loved it.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gift and value for money! I bought this for the sentimental value but would equally have been made up if it was a present! The simple white frame is timeless and a great size! I did it when my baby was 6 weeks old and decided it best to do when she was in a heavy sleep after a bottle of warm milk. She did move about a little as I placed her hand and foot in the mixture but soon relaxed as I used warm water. I thought it would have taken longer but was pleased at how quick the mould sets. Would definitely recommend following the instructions when filling the mould with the plaster mix and tapping the base of the tray on the worktop is a good way to bring any air bubbles to the surface. I got great results!!! Have fun and enjoy your treasured memory of how tiny your baby once was!
