Clear magnification
I've lost most of the sight in one eye and not even my reading glasses offer much help when sewing. The magnification on this lamp is just what I needed. I found it a little cumbersome at first but after a few uses I've got it to a comfortable position. Not sure I'll ever use it on a table as the base is pretty large, but this just makes it super sturdy when on the floor. I lean in quite low to the magnifier, due to my sight loss and it is pretty warm on my face. My hands underneath are fine, but there is definite heat above the magnifier with the lamp on full brightness. I don't use the accessories, but this lamp offers great, clear magnification and illumination.

Great Crafters Magnifying Lamp
My eyes are not as good as they were and I needed a magnifying lamp to sew my cross stitch. Pleasantly surprised with this lamp, it does what I needed it to do, good height while sitting, and can lean back to support my back, just a matter of altering the flexi tubing, light good to see stitches, and magnifier works well too. The only comment I have is the electrical point plug is a bit near the screw when I loosen and tighten the position, and I have to lift it up out of the way, but not a problem as once in working position I don't usually move.
Would recommend this lamp to crafters who need better light and a magnifier

Great flexibility
I was struggling so much with my cross stitch despite having a bright light directed onto my work so I figured the magnifying glass was what I needed. This product is brilliant not only for the magnifying aspect but because the light is adjustable in brightness and its directly over my work, so doesn't disturb anyone else, I also love the clip that holds the pattern. I have it floor standing but it can also be used as a desk lamp, the whole thing is very flexible so you can position it exactly how you need it. It can also be run from batteries which may be of use to some people, I doubt that I would need this. All in all I am so pleased I purchased it, no more eye strain

Excellent lamp
I'd been needing a lamp for close work while painting and couldn't find one that I really liked until this one. Things I like: 1) you can change the brightness level, 2) you can configure it in multiple ways (I chose floor lamp style, but you can also make it a table lamp), 3) you can run it on batteries or from the mains, and 4) it has a built in caddy tray you can put things in.
The magnifier is my only quibble -- it's good but doesn't seem incredibly in focus somehow (but maybe that's my eyes -- I only wear glasses for distance and leave them off at my desk, but maybe there's something there that makes it a bit out of focus.
Would definitely recommend.

Not pleased at all
At first glance the light looked like it would be perfect for my needs but after using the light now for a while I couldn't have been more wrong. The dimmer setting only chooses to work when it wants and the light it omits is very flickery, the base for it has a weight to it but still needs to be held when moving the light arm. The light arm itself is very stiff and takes some amount of time to get positioned perfectly. For the amount of money I paid for this I would have expected better quality and ease of use. To top that only a short time after I purchased this item the price was dropped by £10, which was annoying to find out.

Superb lighting
Fantastic lamp and worth every penny. Realised the nights are now starting to draw in and the light is getting poor so when I saw the 4 in 1 magnifying lamp I snapped it up. I am so glad I got this lamp it is everything it says it is. Brilliant clear light makes your work look so crisp and clear whether I am cross stitching or making cards. No more eye strain with help of the great magnifier and the handy tray is good for your bits and bobs it very useful. Easy to assemble and its a good height when floor standing the bendy arm is just brilliant to get really close up. Good to use at a table or sitting on the sofa. Fantastic lamp a must have in these winter months for crafters.

Excited about crafting again.
Bought this to help see projects better, now I'm in my mid 50s and need mild reading glasses to read.
This lamp is adjustable for height, the brightness, has a clamp for paper patterns etc, and a 8 section tray where you can change the size of the sections according to what you want to store there.
I love all the features so much and would wholeheartedly recommend it as a floor lamp. I completed a cross stitch 16 count aida project with ease and enjoyment, rather than struggling with it.

Essential for hobbyists
As a "crafter" I was always limited to daylight hours once the darker evenings arrived. This magnifying lamp is a godsend, it allows me to continue my hobby at anytime and is light enough to be able to move to any location i choose. Very easy to set up and I love that the on/off switch is on the lamp rather than on the lead. It is very flexible and easy to manoeuvre to any angle and height. The magnification is fabulous for close up intricate work.
A well made product and good value for money, this is an essential piece of kit for anyone who wants to enjoy their hobby at any time of the day or night.
