Good quality wooden handle
Lovely tool, good quality wooden handle and point. Used for making holes in paper for simple book binding project, but would be good for picking up larger beads too. 4 stars as metal surround came loose on both tools I bought, (easily remedied by a dab of glue), but apart from that, good value, quality tool.

Great use for Journal binding!
An awl was recommended to me for poking holes in my page spine for journal making and binding as it can pierce several pages at a time. Great value and certainly does the job. Keep the cover on when not in use to avoid the sharp tip.

Did exactly what I needed it for!!!
Had been looking for something in different places for weeks and found this on one of my many visits to Hobbycraft, it's perfect for getting into tight spaces when doing my wire work, thank you for saving my sanity!!!!!

Came apart
This awl looks nice. It's very sharp! However, when I started using it, the spike came out of the handle! Made the job take a lot longer than it should have. Might try to put a bit of glue in it.

Excellent beading tool
A real lifesaver. Some of my beads were a little closed over. Using this tool on the holes first made it so much easier to thread them. It saved a lot of hassle with no hard work at all.
