Just what I wanted
I bought a similar set from elsewhere but the butterflies were so tiny, I knew I needed some slightly larger cutters. I was short on time and so I thought I'd try our trusty hobbycraft and of course, it didn't disappoint. These cutters were exactly what I needed for the giant cupcake I baked for my nieces first birthday. Just the right size and cuts a beautiful butterfly. The plunger also helps when popping out the shape and leaves perfect detailing. I used an edible lustre to give the butterflies a little something extra, they looked perfect on the cake. Plus these cutters were cheaper than the tiny set I had ordered online, bonus. Thanks hobbycraft.

Beautiful butterflies
I was asked to make two christening cakes, one decorated with blue and one with purple. I used these cutters to make butterflies in different shades of purple. I left some butterflies on folded card to dry so they had their wings up on the cake. I also used the flower cutters from Hobbycraft and the unicorn biscuit cutter and the overall cake looked lovely. For the blue cake I used the bunting cutter.

Butterfly plungers
Our 3 & 5 year old granddaughter had great fun making butterflies for various coloured sugar paste and these butterfly plungers. They always decorate their own birthday cakes. These butterflies looked beautiful. Even asked 'Where did you buy the cake?' Butterflies come out easily with the plunger and survived handling by the youngsters.

Great product
I have bought a few of these fondant icing cutters now, in different shapes and sizes, and I find them excellent. I like the detail the stamp gives to the decoration, not just a cut out butterfly shape. They are quick and easy to use, and sturdy enough for my 3 year old to help with as well!

Beautiful butterflies created
This plunge cutter creates beautiful detailed butterflies. Although I would definitely suggest brushing the cutter with icing sugar first to make sure it pops out easier when using sugar paste. But it is definitely a good product.

Easy and Effective
As a beginner at making cakes I need all the tools I can, and this was so easy to use! It created really pretty butterfly’s and looked so effective on my daughters cake. Good value for money too.

They cut cleanly, and leave pretty impressions on the butterflies
These cutters worked really well for my daughter's 'rainbow butterfly' birthday cake. They cut the shape cleanly, and you can then press the plunger to imprint details onto the icing.

Lovely little set
This lovely set of butterfly cutters is perfect for decorating any size of cake. I used all 3 sizes and found them really easy to use and cut the fondant really well with clean edges
