Since purchasing this item, I have a new found love for candles and scents again. The kit came with the essentials. I will definitely be crafting some more candles and experimenting. Purchasing this item, lead me on to the hobbycraft workshop which was also great knowledge and I have since gone on to book myself on a candle making masterclass. I highly recommend this product as a project for yourself or even with your family - you can give the candles outs as gifts or use them to fragrance your own home. This is a peaceful and rewarding craft that I will continue to invest in.

An OK starter kit but ...
This was my first attempt at candle making.
The box did not contain the pots required for heating the wax, but a saucepan and Pyrex bowl did the trick.
The instructions regarding quantities of wax, colour and scent are non existent - a you tube video was incredibly useful here.

Christmas Present
I bought this as a christmas present, for my Adult daughter, whose into crafting. The kit contains everything needed to get started. And allow her to see, if she wishes to carry on with the hobby.

I originally purchased this kit as I needed the thermometer. The kit is definitely worth buying as it contains everything to get you started in candle making. The instructions are so simple that a young child would be able to follow them. Would make a lovely gift for someone who enjoys crafts.

Great quality product
I bought this kit to try out making candles and see if it could be something I do more often.
This kit includes everything I needed to make 3 candles with extra parts to make more, if I get more glass jars or candle moulds.
The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Good value kit, excellent for beginners
My 20-year old daughter bought this kit as she loves aromatherapy and wanted to make her own candles. We also bought some separate essential oils. The kit contains everything you need to make three good size candles apart from the double-boiler (we used a pyrex bowl over a saucepan of water which worked absolutely fine. Although the scents included were fine, we preferred our own, and likewise wanted different colours to those included so bought our own colorants - you only need a few tiny bits as you get strong colours. The candle turned out beautifully and looks just like one you would buy from a boutique. You can decorate the glass as well as they are plain. We'd recommend a funnel for pouring the hot wax though, as it could be tricky. All in all, a good kit, and you have enough of most of the materials to make more candles, just add the wax pellets.

I am new to candle making and this Kit provided the majority of the items needed to get started.
I recently purchased the Kit at my local Hobbycraft store and was very impressed.
The Kit provides the majority of the items needed to produce at least 3 decent candles.
The instructions were clear and simple to follow. The only item I wished it included was a pouring jug but I imagine the Kit would be much more expensive if this was included.
Great for children as well.

Good kit but needs more instruction.
Great candle making kit although would have been better if more info came with it. If you are a first time candle maker you might want to look up temperatures, fragrance and colour ratios first. Luckily I made these with my daughter who is a proficient candle maker!
