Faulty, poor quality paper trimmer
The poor quality is very disappointing. I had to return my faulty product because the sharp flat metal strip that forms part of the cutting system kept coming loose. It had only been fixed with a thin strip of low tack double sided tape. Also the cutting carriage was extremely stiff as noted in some previous online reviews. (I had my previous paper trimmer for over 20 years with no problems at all compared to just my second use with this replacement.). My local Hobbycraft store was very good, agreed my product was faulty, refunded my money, and told me they will refer the issues to Head Office to take up with the manufacturer/supplier. Thank you Hobbycraft.

Fantastic Guillotine
Very crisp finish and glides through my paper stock
Can do a fair amount of paper all at once and fantastic with 300gsm

Does the job
Cuts paper well, but can leave a slight raised edge on card. The plastic paper holder is about 5mm from the cutting edge, would have been better if it was on the cutting edge to make it easier to line up card and paper. All in all worth the money and easy to get replacement blades.

Cuts well!
We purchased this to replace a cheaper version.
We liked that you can replace the blades on this one and that it has a rotary blade (the circle kind that rotates), rather than a single blade.
It cuts well but I tried to cut two pieces of standard card and it wasn’t a neat cut - which is a shame because the box states that you can put multiple pieces at once.

Neat and does a perfect job
The trimmer is easily stored. It doesn't need any expertese and it produces professional results. The lines marked on the base can be use to help accuracy and special cuts. There is no mess left behind when the job is done and the is no maintenance needed . it is completely safe and there iis no danger posed to children when they play with it. it is easily cleaned and is remains sharp

Excellent, precise, sturdy!
I’ve tried a few different guillotines that I’ve bought online and I’ve been very disappointed with the inaccuracy and flimsy quality. This guillotine however, is superb! It is sturdy, cuts precisely and neatly and I believe you can also replace the roller blade when it eventually does start to become blunt. Very happy with this fuss free does what it says on the tin product!

Absolutely useless
I purchased this trimmer which on the packaging states “cuts up to 10 sheets of 80gsm - therefore 800gsm) I tried cutting 120gsm and after 12 sheets the edges are completely frayed. I found myself neatening with scissors until it completely stopped working and caused to not even cut the paper but bunch and rip it! About 30 mins into having the product I am very disappointed.

Good while it lasted
I bought this guillotine to do my wedding invitations. The blade seemed to get blunt very quickly causing paper to tear unevenly. Very annoying!
