A Brilliant Way to Encourage Drawing
Thought I'm not the best drawer, I love plants and flowers, so this seemed a good idea for a holiday buy. The book is simply stunning. Created with the idea of encouraging you to observe your subject, select those better colours and then draw what you see, this is a beautiful book for the shelf and one for any artist, no matter what their level.

Inspiring pictures to follow
Brilliantly organised book to inspire a budding artist ! My daughter struggles academically and finds a great escape in art in lots of forms but drawing and doodling being a key focus. Often drawn into Hobbycraft for a look round which basically means we come out with something! This book backed up some of the photographs that she has been taking around gardens so inspirational to her ideas. Well done Hobbycraft.

Some good features some not so
A good feature is most flowers have a line drawing accompanying them. These you can either trace onto another pad or colour in within the book. Another is a list of the colours used are presented. Not so good, not much info in the blending and layering of colours for each flower. But all in all a useful book for anyone starting out in botanical painting.

Brilliant book for artists who want to draw forna
A beautiful and simple book for the beginner! Allows you to follow the skeleton drawing of a wide range of flora or for more skilled artists just reproduce the beautiful paintings which are detailed in the book! Highly recommend this book!

Colourful sketching made easy.
These sketches of flowers helped me to gain back my artistic fun .I began to use my coloured pencils again to produce some lovely botanicals.
