Clever idea but not suitable for childrens cakes
I purchased the candles for a boy's birthday cake. We struggled to light them ( 4 people at one time trying to get them lit whilst the 7 year old was stalled at the door). With hindsight, they burn with such a small dark flame that they are only suitable for cakes which are presented in a darkened room. They do suggest that on the packaging but actually it's vital. So probably great for adults but not for children where blowing out the candles is a big deal. We only managed to get 3 to look lit so very disappointing.

Fun, but not as vibrant/visible.
Pros: Fun.
Cons: Difficult to see the different coloured flames (most thought they were normal candles until were told they are different and had to view it at a different angle to notice).

Need a dark room but they are good
You definitely need a dark room but they do burn in different colours, the flames are small but they made my daughters birthday cake just a little bit extra and I will being buying them again

Colourful candles - not very bright
The colourful candles are a great idea, but they were not very bright and difficult to light. Have bought many types of candles from hobbycraft and will continue to do so.

Great cake topping
Candles where great the first time using them. Each candle with different colour flame but second time using didn’t light very well and kept going out.
