Best watercolor paper I can find readily available
100% cotton watercolor paper is without a doubt the best watercolor paper you can buy and it really shows.
I am primarily a watercolor artist and as such I need to be able to buy supplies in person as that is the best way to garentee quality. I tell you this is the best watercolor paper you can buy for several reasons.
1. The absorption of water is uniform and does not produce patchy result in the painting like wood pulp paper would.
2. Watercolors overall preform much better on this paper e.g. better blooms, pigmentation looks nicer and more vibrant
3. The paper buckles a lot less, and due to its paper weight of 300g it can easily take quite a bit of water.
Overall it is definitely worth it to spend extra and get this paper if you want a much more professional result, however the price is still steep so I would not recommend if you're a beginner. This paper is most definitely more for completed peices. Use it wisely!

Perfect for small studies.
I bought this pad because it is 100% cotton. Being cotton it can handle a lot of water without breaking down like cellulose (paper) would. This means that you can get far more subtile effects and the paper reacts so well allowing lovely flat washes, gradients, charging with other pigments. It's 300gsm and you can paint on it without stretching, although it will warp a little. It's a really great size to stretch easily and mount on a small board. Perfect for small studies.

Perfect for its purpose
Purchased this for the purpose of watercolouring some concept art and bringing a few ideas to life, the product feels of a high quality when taking the price into consideration. Very clean and well cut. Perfect.

Fantastic
Lovely paper. Blends graphite beautifully and is a lovely thickness and texture. I haven't tried watercolours on it yet as I mainly use graphite but I'm sure it will work nicely for watercolour too.

for me, an amateur watercolour student, this is the best all round paper at a good price. not happy with other brands - it is worth paying that bit more.
