Product description

Watercolours? Acrylics? Oils? Why not all three? This innovative new Mixed Media Sketchbook from Daler Rowney rivals the heavyweight and puts a revolutionary new set of conveniences for the artist who goes above and beyond the creative scale. This is the sketchbook that dares you to break artistic convention.

Print it, rip it, change it, fix it, twist, erase it. From watercolours to collages, from prints to embossers – mixed media is the beautiful chaos of artistry. With a durable 250 gsm, this paper will not budge away from anything that you throw at it. With a light texture, create dashing shades and deep contours, whether you are using wet or dry techniques.

Ideal for watercolours and acrylics, this durable edge will keep you venturing and experimenting. Clash charcoal with oils, snarl airbrushes across layers of watercolour and dash flashes of ink across a collage of charm. Unleash your ideas on a sketchbook that will not only take it on board – it will help your imagination endure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improved paper quality without breaking the bank I bought this because regular paper was warping after paint had dried. Works well with my son's paints and with my acrylics. An improvement, but would probably have to spend more for something more reliably robust and professional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality, versatile paper I am actually using this paper to print on from my inkjet printer to create black and white prints which I then could using either watercolour paints or coloured pencil. The paper (as stated) is great for mixed media. It has a great texture and looks fantastic in a frame with a mount also. Despite being thick I have no problems printing onto this paper and it holds the ink well. It does not appear to warp or stretch when paint is applied to it either, although the amount which i have applied so far has not been exsessive. It vuts nicely, I trim this paper with a Stanley blade and ruler and it's not too thick. For the price you pay for this paper I would say it is exceptionally good value for money. Compared to watercolour paper this paper is very cheap. I don't think I would recommend using markers on this paper as it looks like it would absorb too much ink, besides it is textured so it would lose definition anyway. Saying that I haven't tried it but that Is just an observation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for beginners It was great to buy a block with ticker paper than usual, for that price; I didn't have more money. Yet l tried to use it for a big water colour painting and the paper wasn't thick enough... Haven't tried it for acrylic yet, but am a bit afraid it will be the same. Will try to use it for drawing, that might be good. Shame though about the watercolour...
