The photos don't do the thread justice
The new dmc etoile thread is gorgeous not only in sparkle but colour too. Its so much easier and nicer to use than the metallic and light effects thread. However if you want to use these instead of a normal dmc thread some of these colours don't match up, the biggest disappointment is the etoile blanc which looks grey. While this isn't an issue for me because i change my colours up anyway it woild be a problem if you wanted exactly the same colour but in etoile.

Best Thread
Anyone who stitches will know how gorgeous metallic thread looks in a project but also how very difficult it is to work with. This DMC Etoile thread solves that issue. The thread itself is very soft and easy to handle and goes easily through the eye of a needle. The colours are lovely but the best bit is the light sparkle running through which catches the light beautifully. The only problem is we need more colours!!

Ideal for Christmas themed products
I bought this to complete a Christmas themed cross stitch pattern and the “sparkly black” thread (as I call it) is ideal to back stitch with and to make the Christmas pattern “POP!”. Love it. Great price too.

Perfect for what I needed it for
I brought this to sew on some buttons on to a pair of gloves I purchased from a shop that the buttons fell off and I found this the perfect match to my gloves lovely sparkle to the thread

Pretty and glittery
The tread is really glittery and shiny but is not as strong as normal thread, you have to be careful not to tug at it as it snaps and stretches easily
