Weirdly enough when I purchased this product in store I wasn't 100% sure on whether it was silver or not as it didn't quite look like it. But I purchased it anyway as it was a very pretty shade. So I think that would my only criticism of the product if you were purchasing online, is not to expect actual silver shade

Quite hard to use
I found this item fairly hard to use, as a beginner I should of purchased an easier thread to us, as I have tried to take one piece of thread out and ended up getting it all knotted up, beautiful thread but not ideal for beginner

Now this metalic floss can be a little temperamental, it can snag quite a bit, so take it slow and steady.

Lovely colour
The metallic embroidery threads look great if you know how to use them. I embroidered onto jute but found that they kept fraying and were difficult to thread a needle with. The solution I came up with was to lubricate the length of the thread with Decopatch varnish as this is what I had on hand. This worked a treat, however, it does stiffen the thread a little. Dip your finger into the liquid and run it along the thread and allow to dry.

Looks amazing!
I bought several colours in this range and I cannot complain about any of them. The colours are lovely and clear. As for the shimmer in the thread; I think it is perfect. A good balance between colour and shimmer. Would definitely buy it again.
The thread is more rigid than the non shimmering ones, but that was the be expected. Great product!

Beautiful shiny colours
Beautiful colours. A white thread wrapped with 2 strands of metallic colour. I knew it would be tricky to work with compared to stranded cotton thread, as i have done goldwork courses before, but a beginner should know this thread is a little different. Better for couching and laid work as it will unravel easily.

Didn't like this thread
Bought this to use in cross stitch project. Untwined itself when using, making even threading the needle a challenge.
Really disappointed with this and probably wouldn't try metalic thread again.
