Disappointing- very pale
Bought the Dylan hand dye having checked the instructions on dyeing silk. Needed 2 packets as between weight and wanted a dark green, I bought Green Forest. Followed instructions to the letter but it still came out a lot paler than expected, nearer to lime. I contacted Dylan for advice and several days later they replied asking what the fabric label said! I responded but no response so far. In the meanwhile I redyed the fabric with blue and it’s now a darker green. So in a nutshell it’s not a very good dye and the customer service is awful. Hobbycraft staff were far more helpful.

Fabric dye
Used to dye 2 metres of cotton/linen mix fabric which was twice the recommended weight for the dye sachet. The colour came out as a lighter bottle green which was to be expected due to the amount of fabric. It came out with a lot of mottling after dying in a wide, flat box which might be due to the surface area of fabric floating above the water- next time I will use a bucket as I previously have done which came out with a more even colour.

Easy to use and plenty Of dye
I used this to dye some cushions. There was plenty to dye two round cushions and there was dye left over, was trying to find something I could dye green!
Instructions were simple enough to follow and The cushions came out really well.

Great dye, lovely colour
