Great product - follow the instructions!
This worked really well when I used two packets to dye a denim jacket (weighing about 1kg). It transformed a medium blue denim jacket to a deep black!
The instructions mention you need to run an empty wash through the machine afterwards - definitely do that, as even though there didn’t seem to be much dye in my machine there was some hidden under the rubber seal, which was resolved when I put a cup of bleach in with the detergent on the empty wash (as instructed).
I’ve used the hand dye on denim before and found that much more of a faff and harder to get an even colour - wash and dye is much easier!

Really Great Product.
I have only tried this in black & it's fab..... Although I have never attempted to fully change an items colour with it, I only use this product on already black items which are sun faded, have normal fading from many washes & bleach splashed items & honestly they come out looking BRAND NEW.... The washing machine afterwards only needs the seal wiping & that is all, it does not dye your seal or anything else. Im gonna be using this stuff forever now, as I used to throw away alot of black hoodies, tops etc etc only due to them looking "washed out"/faded.

Easy and effective!
I have used this twice, each time to dye faded clothes. I dyed my black jeans first and my husband was so impressed he asked me to dye some of his work trousers. Both times turned out brilliantly, and it save me buying brand new jeans!
I used a full sachet per item to get the strongest colour. I didn't wear gloves, I snipped the corner off the packet and emptied it straight into the drum. Follow the packet instructions and you won't go far wrong!

Excellent product, great results for vamping up tired clothes.
The Velvet Black is great for jeans & jumpers that have lost colour over time.

Good but not a deep black.
I dyed a scarlet cotton dress and the black came out slightly with a brown tinge. Fine by me but if you are wanting a jet black then probably dying it twice would get you there. Easy to use - I rinsed the drum twice not once as the instructions suggest.

Wash & Dye to change garment colour.
I wanted to overdye some blue cotton corduroy trousers. I had to use both packs (2 separate washes) to get sufficient coverage, but black is usually a difficult colour to get so that was to be expected. I usually do black garments only first wash after the cleaning cycle when I use machine dye, and I wipe the rubber seals with a damp rag as well, and have never found the colour damaging my clothes in subsequent washes. I have also used this in the past to re-darken my husband's fading shirts.

SO easy to use and such great results!
I have dyed clothes before, but this is the first time using this particular product. It was incredibly easy to use, and produced incredible results - my jeans are now jet black, just how I wanted them!

Easy excellent results!
Easy to use, simple instructions, give fantastic results. Turned an unloved pair of linen trousers into an immaculate black pair, with no mess or fuss!
