Difficult but worth it!
I purchased this as a Saturday afternoon activity to keep me occupied while self-isolating!
It says beginner on the box, the concept isn’t difficult however the wood you hammer the nails into is very tough so wasn’t the easiest! Once you got the hang of hammering very hard the rest was easy.
Absolutely chuffed and happy with the outcome but maybe more of a teen/adult activity as kids would struggle with the difficulty of hammering into the concrete like wood!

Good but not for kids
This was fun once I managed to hammer the nails in. The wood proved very very hard and I had to use tweezers (not included in the kit) to hold the nails in. I enjoyed it once I got the hang of the tweezer system!

Looks fantastic when completed
The nails are tricky to put in as you have to check they are all the same height. The string part is easy and once finished it looked great.

Great Gift
I brought this as a gift for my 7 year old. It comes as a wooden board, nails and string and you have to use the template to tap the nails in. She had great fun hammering the nails in to form the flamingos shape (with the help of dad!)
You then wrap the different coloured strings to make the art piece. Very easy to follow.
She’s very proud of it as it hangs on her bedroom wall, it also looks very cool too!

Nail Guide Please
This was not as easy as it first seemed. Once you have made your pilot holes for the nails for anyone with anything other than tiny fingers, actually getting the nails in is quite difficult. The nails need to be in far enough to hold and be stable, but not far enough to go through the panel. What this really needs is a panel pin guide.
Once you have the nails in and stable, this is then very easy and quite relaxing to do.

Great to see these again
I remember doing something like this in the "70's" using gold thread and loved it, but could not find anymore (went out of favour) I saw this one and thought give it a try again and still love it, take your time, do not rush it . Hope to be able to buy other kits or perhaps have go at designing my own.

This made a huge difference to someone who was in isolation.
I bought this for my granddaughter who had tested positive for COVID. She really enjoyed doing it and was proud of the result. What was especially good was that it was not too long a process so she gained satisfaction quite quickly.
