This product has great texture
Not suitable for sewing machine, gold foil peeled off going through needle clogged up at back of material totally unsuitable for sewing gold ribbon onto dress. Would probably work sewing by hand. I had to sew with a yellow cotton thread.

Nice product very satisfactory
Lovely strong thread with nice shimmer. Able to do hand embroidery at a push ..just go slowly with it ..but all in all a good thread to work with.

Frays dreadfully
I'm surprised at the reviews... This thing is not suitable for the machine and can barely be used by hand. It is made of a whole bunch of gold tinsel and whiteish plastic thread, everything separates, I'm barely able to use it to secure some hold ribbon embellishments... Cut short strands and tie some knots throughout the length if you're unlucky enough to buy it, this way it's somewhat useable

Lovely shiny thread but frayed a bit in the machine
This thread was the perfect colour matching for the gold binding I used, and it is lovely and shiny. I suspect this would be true of most metallic style threads because of how they are made, but I found that it got a bit frayed in the sewing machine. I made sure I gave the machine a good clean, checked it regularly and rethreaded when it got a bit thin but just something to be aware of!

Very pretty gold thread
I bought this as I am embroidering our names on our Christmas stockings. It is really nice and a very pretty colour gold. The glitter effect looks lovely and it has a tinsel type thread within it so it is perfect for what I am doing. Also got the thread on offer so even better.

Beautiful Thread
This is a perfect gold thread, it is not too overly gold and subtly catches the light.
I have recently made some bunting and this was easy to use when hand stitching.
I have bought again and would defintely recommend for all types of sewing crafts.

Lovely effect
I bought this gold thread to embellish appliquéd Christmas baubles on velvet cushions. The effect was beautiful, however threading it was a nightmare! Well worthwhile​ the effort though!
