This is the best ruler I own.
This is the best ruler I own for using with my rotary cutter when cutting through several layers of fabric for patchwork pieces. My other metal ruler slides a bit, but my new Hobbycraft ruler stays put. Also the finger guard down the centre is perfect for keeking my fingers away from the cutting blade. Ace product, I can highly recommend it. They have thought of all the practicalities needed in a ruler, simple & effective.

Great product to use with scalpel

This ruler has rubber strip inserts underneath to help prevent it sliding on your paper or fabric and a groove to help protect your fingers from accidentally getting cut by your craft knife. Twice the price of an ordinary metal ruler but worth every penny.

Protect your fingers!
I bought this ruler to protect my fingers when using a brand new craft knife. The rubber grips on the bottom stop it moving, and the channel down the middle is perfect for my fingers keeping them well away from the blade as I cut.
One star dropped though as the rubber grips are not glued/fixed in place, so sometimes slip out their channels a bit.

Perfect for trimming paper and card.
I cannot believe that I’ve never found one of these before now.
After years of struggling with plastic rules and make-do straight edges, I stumbled across this excellent metal ruler.
Trimming watercolour paper with a craft knife is now an absolute snap.
If you don’t have one, but one now!
