Straightest ruler ever. Never seen a straighter ruler than this. Great for cutting straight lines. Also good for measuring stuff.

Brilliant ruler
Brilliant ruler for cutting against. It also has a good non slip base.
Only issue is thats its a little bit bendy.

Great for cutting art papers and boards
I'm really liking this ruler, I bought it to use with a sharp knife for cutting. The cork strip really does help it not to slip, but I've used it both ways up as a cutting edge. I like that it's longer than usual ruler length.
Great for cutting edges off art pieces I've been working on, and such a useful companion to the cutting mat I bought at the same time.

Ideal
I needed a longer ruler than the standard 6 or 12 inch ruler for larger illustrations and this fit the bill nicely. I prefer a metal rule as it holds that perfect edge for a nice clean line whereas plastic rules can be prone to getting nicks and chips. Does the job nicely.

Excellent for trimming card and paper
The Helix Non-slip Flexible 45cm Steel Ruler is ideal for trimming card and up to three sheets of paper. The non-slip backing raises the cutting edge about 1mm above the paper and ensures that the cutting knife doesn't ride up onto the ruler.

When I purchased this product I did not know that it had cork backing. It was very useful in what I needed to do then reverse it for the other things

This craft knife is really very sharp and cuts through thick card very easily.
Have never used one of these before and was quite dubious, however, it was great. It cuts curves smoothly as well as straight lines.
