An invaluable mini tool
I’d seen a well-worn sewing gauge used by tutors in online sewing videos. It looked perfect for lots of little jobs. The edges are great for easing corners in collars, pockets and cuffs. It doesn't poke holes in the fabric like pencil tips would. The mini ruler and guide is just the right size for use in very tight spaces ie. when your fabric is already under the sewing machine needle, for measuring accurate spacing between button holes or aligning pin tucks. It even holds shank buttons steady for threading. I don’t know how I managed without one.

Top quality item this has made my work a lot easier all you do is set the depths of the stitch or width of the fold you want and run it down the fabric as you stitch I got and get perfect folded seems all the time now I highly recommend it to every9ne

Simple and affordable makes life easier
Not sure why I never got round to buying one of these before. The sewing gauge made hemming so much quicker and more accurate. Great little product should be a staple of every sewing box.

Brilliant tool for dressmaking
Bought this on a whim but absolutely love it. It’s brilliant for making accurate hems, pointing corners and buttons. Great price and would recommend.

Just what I needed
I've had a similar item for about 40 years and it recently snapped so I was delighted to find this in Hobbycraft. It is one inch shorter than my original one but that is not an issue as I mostly use it for smallish measurements. I haven't yet tried the point for pushing out corners. I can't work out what the U shaped pieces that swivel round at the bottom are for. The instructions on the packet don't mention them.

Really useful addition for a sewing kit
I cannot tell you how useful this is! I've been making a lot of face masks recently and this has helped to speed up the process so much when folding and pressing channels for straps - you know know your elastic or tie will fit through because you measured it! My only criticism off this is that it's quite flimsy, but I am also quite heavy handed. You'll reach for this a lot.

I have had one of these for a while and bought one for my sister. It is so handy for measuring if you are turning up sleeve or leg hems. Or as my sister found out it's good to measure up when you are knitting a small square to check tension. Slight downside in that it does bend quite easily so has to be handled and storedwith a bit of care.
