Chocolate eggs have become synonymous with Easter, available in all shapes, sizes and flavour combinations. Well now you can make your own with this how to and a very handy mould. You'll have your egg made and decorated in no time at all!

Depending on how long you've got to make your egg, the chocolate can either be left to set out on the side (the time will vary according to the temperature of your kitchen) or you can pop the moulds into the fridge, which will take no time at all to set.

How to make

Step 1

Melt half a bag of Candy Melts as per the instructions and brush evenly into the mould halves. Refrigerate for five minutes.

Step 2

Repeat with the remaining Candy Melts, leaving a small amount to use as 'glue'.

Step 3

Release the two halves from the moulds and 'glue' together, tidying away excess chocolate with a small sharp knife.

Step 4

Decorate as required. I used white decorating icing to apply the sugar flowers and pearls to the pink egg, and coloured writing icing to add patterns and lettering to the cocoa egg.
