How to make

You will also need:

* Cricut Design Space app installed on a laptop, PC, Tablet or mobile device

* Selection of My Colour A3 cardstock in various shades of green - Available in-store only

Step 1

Cut the following lengths for each hoop.

* 32 x 150cm

* 15 x 3.4m

Join the lengths to the hoop by folding each string in half and using the larks head knot in the following order: 8 short strings, 5 long, 8 short, 5 long, 8 short, 5 long, 8 short.

Section off the short strings to keep them out of the way.

Step 2

Work each group of long strings as follows:

Using string 5 as a guide, work a row of diagonal double half hitch knots with strings 1-4.

Repeat on the other side using string 6 as the guide.

Step 3

Using the same strings as the guides, work diagonally back into the centre to create a diamond shape.

Close diamond by working a final double half hitch knot using string 6 as the guide.

Step 4

Continue using string 6 as a guide work a diagonal line of double half hitch knots with strings 4-1.

Repeat on the other side taking the new string 6 as a guide and working a diagonal line of double half hitch knots with strings 7-10.

Step 5

Using centre 4 strings, create a berry knot in line with the end of the double half hitch knots.

Step 6

Using string 1, work a diagonal row of double half hitch knots with string 2-5.

Repeat on the other side using string 10 as the guide and create a diagonal line of double half hitch knots to meet in the middle.

Step 7

Close diamond by working a final double half hitch knot using string 6 as the guide.

Step 8

Continue working diamonds in the following order:

* 1 diamond

* 1 berry diamond

* 1 diamond

* 1 berry diamond

* 1 diamond.

Repeat for each group of long strings.

Bring all strings back together and cut fringe to the desired length.

Step 9

Log in to your Design Space account, then copy and paste the below link into your browser.

You will then be directed to a Cricut Design landing page, select 'Open' and then 'Open Cricut Design Space Desktop Application'.

After a few moments the project landing page will appear on screen, select 'Customise' to be taken throuhg to the Canvas screen.

Step 10

Using a tape measure, measure across the widest part of the hoop where you would like the 'Mrs' greeting to sit.

Select the circle and re-size as desired before re-sizing the 'Mrs' design, making sure that this overlaps the edge of the circle.

Resize the foliage elements as desired using the circle 'hoop' as a guide.

Once happy with size of everything, hide the circle 'hoop' in the layers panel by clicking the eye icon, then select 'Make it'.

Step 11

Once through to the mat preview screen, a pop-up will appear alerting you to the fact that a larger 12 x 24" mat will need to be used to cut part of the project, select 'Ok', then double-check everything is present and correct on the remaining mats.

Step 12

You'll then be taken through to the machine set up screen. Start by cutting the 'Mrs' design first, you'll need to cut four of these using the Knife Blade.

Cut the mountboard down and secure to the cutting mat using maksing tape. Slide the white star wheels on your machine to the left or right so that they don't cause imprints in the mountboard.

Begin the cut, working through each mat one at a time.

Step 13

Once the cut is complete and all of the pieces have been carefully removed from the cutting mat, use tacky glue to secure two of the large 'Mrs' designs on top of each other, making sure that the edges line up and do not overlap.

Once dry use a glue gun to secure these to the metal hoop.

Step 14

Start to arrange and build small clusters of foliage securing everything in place using a small amount of tacky glue.

Once dry, use a hot melt glue gun (be extra carfeul here) to secure the foliage to the hoop as desired.

Step 15

Contiue working around the hoop adding the foliage as desired. Once complete, flip the hoop over and add a little more glue to the back of each foliage cluster to secure it in place.
