5 Styling Tips for an Outside Garden Supper

Step 1

Raid your fabric stash for a new table cloth - Simply Measure to your outside table and cut to size!

Step 2

Spread what would be a large bunch of flowers across the whole table to create a whimsical floral display. Use a mix of jam jars and bud vases to line the length of the table with florals rather than having one large bunch sat in the middle, this will help balance the table more and create a beautiful floral display.

Step 3

Use varying heights within your garden tables cape whether thats the stem heights with the flowers or adding interest above the table so it doesn’t appear the decor is all on ‘one level’. Add Garlands along the walls or hanging over the table to create interest at a different height, Cross them over so that they are heading in different directions!

Step 4

Don’t be afraid of mix matching your plates, cutlery, candlesticks and glassware… this will give your table a relaxed feel rather than feeling too formal with overly matching accessories. The same idea can be applied with patterns, mix and match to your own taste- don’t feel restricted, have fun exploring how patterns can work together.

Step 5

It’s all in the details so think napkins, placemats/coasters and candles as your essential tablescaping props! Candles will again help add height to your tablescape and also give some pretty light as the evening draws in!
