First Father's Day Box Frame

Celebrate a first Father's Day with this beautiful box frame keepsake.

 

Follow the shirt and baby grow origami instructions below and simply mount onto card and place in a frame.

Origami Sports Shirt

For the origami sports shirt, follow the steps for the shirt (apart from step 7). Instead of step 7 below, fold the bottom up over the collar and glue to hold in place.

 

You can either draw on the design after you've folded it or print the free download and fold that.

Shirt: Step 1

Cut the paper to 7.5 x 15cm.

 

Fold the bottom edge up about 1/8.

Fold and unfold paper in half vertically - only creasing on the dotted line shown.
Shirt: Step 3
Fold the side edges to the centre on the crease line you just made.

Fold the corners up to the side.

Fold the top behind, about 0.5cm.

Fold both of the top corners inwards to form the collar.

Fold the bottom edge up and tuck it under the collar.

Fold the shoulder corners behind to create a softer look.

You can decorate the shirt with a fine liner pen or follow the next steps to create a tie.

Tie: Step 1

Cut the paper to 4 x 4cm.

 

Place the paper in a diamond position. Fold in half and unfold.

Fold the side edges to the centre.

Turn the paper over.

Fold the top point down.

Fold the triangle point up.

Fold the triangle and the layer below up on the dotted line shown.

Turn the paper over.

Fold the side edge past the centre crease line as shown.

Repeat on the left edge.

Turn the paper over.

Insert the tie under the collar and decorate it with your favourite design.

Cut the paper to 5 x 10cm.

 

Fold the bottom edge up about 1/8.

Fold and unfold the paper in half.

Fold the bottom edge behind to about 0.5cm from the top edge.

Fold the top behind and tuck the corners under the sleeves layer.
