Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Using a darning needle go through each stitch remaining on the needle and thread onto the remaining yarn.
Once all the stitches are off the needle pull the stitches tight and secure with a knot.
Start adding stuffing to the pumpkin. You may wish to add weights to the bottom of the pumpkin to help it sit nicely or to use as a doorstop. Continue adding stuffing until the pumpkin is full.
Rethread the needle and gather the top of the pumpkin until the hole is closed. Secure with a knot and sew in the ends.
