Cricut: How to Make Thank You Colouring Cards

If your kids receive a huge mountain of presents each Christmas, get them involved in making their own festive thank you cards! These cards are designed in Cricut Design Space and can be coloured in. You can even make cards which match the colouring skills of the artist. A perfect craft for the post-Christmas slump!

How to make
Open a new canvas and insert a 5x5 inch square to cut. Change the colour of the square to white to match the cardstock you will go on to use.
Insert your image onto your square. When choosing images, look through cartridges to see which images will work well on a set of cards. The images I have used are all from the collection 'Christmas Cheer'. Make sure you set your image to 'draw' rather than 'cut' and attach it to the square background using the paperclip icon.
Add your text in a complementary font and attach it to the square. Like the images, it should also be set to 'draw'.
Add a 5.5 x 5.5" square to the canvas and change the colour to match the cardstock you will be mounting your colouring page onto - I chose to keep things traditional and go for red and green.
Make your project by following the on-screen instructions. Adhere white cardstock to your Cricut cutting mat, then load the pen into clamp A on your machine. The Cricut machine will then draw the images before cutting out your card.
Once you have cut both your card front and the coloured mount, attach both to a card blank using double sided tape. You're now ready to get colouring!
