Project and how-to make instructions by Enfys Cashmore
As soon as I saw the beautiful layered butterfly stamps from Hampton Art, I knew that I wanted them to fly across a brilliant blue sky, and that distress inks would make the perfect background for my butterfly card. The stamps are so versatile, you can use all, or just some of the layers, to create many different effects. The bold, clean outline makes cutting them out really easy so there's no need for corresponding dies. Another way to create this card would be to heat emboss the butterflies before inking the background - it's fun to see the set white embossing powder resist the ink. There are also tiny flowers and butterflies included in the set, which could add another variation to your background.
