Place a piece of blue floral paper from the Vintage Tea Party pad inside the Botanical Border embossing folder and run it through your die-cutting machine.
Use a blending tool to highlight the embossed border with Spring Meadow Spectrum Noir Harmony ink from the Verdant Greens ink set .
Using small circular motions with your fingers, apply gold gilding wax around the edges of the paper to make the embossed detail pop. Matt the panel with gold cardstock.
Layering your die-cut designs is a great way to give them more strength and dimension so they stand out on your card front. Gilding wax is a great way of really bringing embossed detail to life
Die-cut the teapot twice, once from Centura Pearl – Hint of Gold cardstock and again from pink patterned paper, remembering to use the ornate detail die for your white teapot, and layer the pieces together. Die-cut a teacup from Centura Pearl – Hint of Gold cardstock and gold cardstock and layer together.
Crease-fold a 6 x 6” card blank from a piece of Centura Pearl – Hint of Gold cardstock and cover with green and pink floral patterned paper, leaving a border around the edges. Mount your embossed panel in the centre of the card front and position your die-cut teapot and teacup in the centre.
Die-cut ‘teariffic’ from pink patterned paper and Centura Pearl – Hint of Gold cardstock and layer them together, so the pink is slightly offset and shows a white border. Stamp ‘birthday’ onto a piece of white cardstock and trim it into a banner shape. Position your sentiments in the bottom-right corner of the card, then embellish with pink gems to finish.
