Like an extra set of fingers
Bought this on the recommendation of other scale modelers to help position small parts and items of metal photo etch. It works a treat, before you often obscured vision of where you wanted to place the part with either your fingers or tweezers, but now I am able to position the item on the picker at a suitable angle to see where I am placing it, and the item will stay in place until the adhesive I am using can be placed accurately to secure the part. Highly recommended, but do remember to keep the tip covered when not in use and be sure to clean it occasionally to maintain it sticky grip.

Jewel picker
Just used the Jewel picker as I no longer have the dexterity in my hands due to cervical spondylitis and carpel tunnel. It is sticky on the tip which allows me to pick up small beads and thread them onto wire very easily. My only problem now is my eyesight.

Jewel pick and place tool
Works well 50% of the time, but then stops sticking to the gems until you clean the tip and then warm it up.

It does the job, picking up small pieces
This item is good for beads but also for picking up small pieces of pie cut card. I have used this for the placement of small die cut fliwers and sequins.

Good for beginners
I'm trying a new craft at the minute which uses small gem stones confetti etc and I was struggling to pick them up and place in the correct position
All the videos show people using a gem tool which made it look so easy, Ive got to have one of these !
Now I've used it..... Wow what a difference, it does make it easier.
Like myself great tool for beginners, but the stickiness doesn't last long on the end of the tool.
If you were going to use it regularly I would recommend upgrading to a better version of the tool.

Great pick up pen
I purchased this item to use with my 5D Diamond painting crafts. It picks up brilliant but sadly the tip has worn very quickly ( lone week!) so at £5.89 this was not value for money
I would not recommend this item for Diamond painting craft.
